So i'm in cleveland, and i've been camped out at the hospital. Every day i go in, grandma looks better than the day before. they're planning on sending her home tuesday, so i'm happy to hear that.
We went to this awards ceremony last nite to honor grandma and yolanda craciun for the Detroit Shoreway. Good food, nice ceremony. Too bad she couldn't accept the award herself. After that we went to the ParkView and i got totally loaded. ended up throwing up all over madelyn's lawn after we got home. kwality. At the hospital today grandma needed a moment to herself to use her bathroom (bedpan) so i walked down to the visitors waiting room and made a call to Jeff @ Catek. I've been fearing this conversation for weeks now, since it will decide how (if at all) we do business with catek from now on. He explained his affiliate program to me, and then i asked about alternatives such as direct purchasing or drop shipping. I think it went very well and we'll hopefully soon be catek distributors. All this big fuss and the guy is pretty much in the palm of my hand. I walked him thru all the conclusions about distributing (price ceiling, no mention of the word "sale", etc) and he came away thinking it was going to work out great. I really hope we get to sell Catek's on the site, they're my favorites But now it's 2am in cleveland, so im gonna take a nap and go to the hospital again tomorrow and hang out with Mary. Monday, November 8. 200405 snow season starts
so i went to snowbird with matt, dale and crystal yesterday. had a damn great time. crystal loves her new board, and she rides pretty well for as new as she is. A lil molding and she'll be stomping this season.
Matt and i had made a bet to switch gear at the TGR film, and we did just that. I put his ski boots on and he took my snowboard boots... and off we went to the tram deck. Needless to say, since matt is a god at everything... he whooped my lame ass. Ski's are humbling, but i hold to the fact that a pair of 192's weren't really a fair trade damn fun day. I'm now really ready for the season to start. Viva la snow! Friday, November 5. 2004matt's new car stereo
just finished putting matt's new stereo in his acura. jesus christ it took like 8 hours. but he's got some badass component speakers in his doors, 6x9's in his rear deck, a bitchin receiver and a pretty custom install. Worth the work for sure.
Dale's in tomorrow... should be a good weekend of drinking and maybe some skiing if i can afford it mr gabel got me hooked up on some burton bindings, i'm stoked. tho chris took so long to decide on a fucking sweatshirt that i got the semi weak color instead of the pimp black/grey. whatever, they're still less than half the price in the stores Wednesday, October 6. 2004tickets, snowboards and randomness
so i went yesterday and talked to the proscecutor about my ticket. Plea in Abaeyance is the bomb. i pay my ticket slowly, stay out of trouble, and my insurance company will never know i was busted. yay.
so i went to REI to poke around after mediation and found a Burton Clash 153 for $160. I called Crystal and she came to check it out. She says it doesn't match her gear, and she wants a K2. I promise to dump her if she buys a K2. Then we went to Salty Peaks (she almost bought a 04 shawn white), Milo's, and Garts. Garts had the K2 she liked, so we checked it out. I thought it was a bit stiff and goofy lookin, but had the same specs as the Clash... and the clashes they had there were like $250. So back we go to REI. She bought the Clash @ REI, then got a Burton jacket at a screamin deal. A quick jaunt home to make sure her ride bindings would fit on that board and then i was off for home. When i got home, i realized i was missin a serious chunk of cash. I called Garts Sports and believe it or not, they actually FOUND my cash and HELD it for me! Score one for honest mormons or something. So i went to Garts today and grabbed my $$$$ between shifts at the chang and dropped off some chicken lettuce wraps as a thank you. Then to Terry's to grab his .45 ACP and his .32 so we could go to the range tomorrow, and then back to work for my first expo shift. Expo was fun. Weird and short, but fun Went out with the canyonchasers after work after a stop at home to pull the nose cap off my bike and see it's true naked beauty. Was supposed to meet crystal but her bro has some sort of infection and needed a hospital run. As of this moment she's still there dealin with it, so i hope all is well. Now to sort mp3's and go to bed Tuesday, March 16. 2004Toledo Sucks
So chris has been here the last couple days. We had a damn good time riding @ PCMR. Got his website going and vegged in the hottub tonite.
Went out with Brooke, Anna, Golnush and the rest of the crew the other nite.... to the Drink on Pierpont Ave. Had a damn great time. Wish it happened more often. Still no word on a job. Another call to the Chang today, supposed to call tomorrow. sigh why is this so hard? it's a fucking grunt job. I seem to have to interviews inversely proportional to the quality of the job. Win2k rollout in SF, phone interview for 10 min. Grunt job @ qwest or PF Chang's, multiple interviews, bullshit, hoops to jump thru.
